Place de la Sallaz project
Within the global concept for designing public spaces developed by the architectural office 2b Architectes on behalf of the city of Lausanne, Switzerland, vonRoll casting was entrusted with the study, concept and fabrication of cast panels. These castings were not only used as cladding for covered bus stops, but also for street furniture (benches) and tree pits.
CaixaForum project
In 2007, vonRoll casting supplied 4000 rough cast panels for the cladding of the upper façade of the CaixaForum in Madrid, a building designed by the famous architectural company Herzog & de Meuron. The panels were delivered untreated, the aim being to show the different colours of iron when corroding.

For this impressive building designed by Foster + Partners, vonRoll casting supplied castings to support the glass façade.
